What determines my eligibility for a Fortcredit loan?
- You must be in a paid employment.
- To be eligible for a Fortcredit loan, you have to be a regular income earner and must have proof of employment.You must be between the ages of 22-55
- If you are not within the ages of 22 to 55 years, you are not eligible for a Fortcredit loan service.
- You must reside in Lagos
- Customers who do not reside in Lagos are currently not eligible to obtain a Fortcredit loan.
- You must have a pension account
- Intending customers are required to be on a pension scheme or provide a guarantor.
Why do you need my documents?
- One recent passport photograph
- This is a formality for identification and verification.
- A valid means of identification (Drivers Licence, Int’l passport, National ID card etc )
- This is to verify some of the customers information filled out on the application forms.
- Pension Statement
- This shows that the customer is enrolled on a pension scheme and thus increases credit worthiness.
- Customers who lack this document would have to provide a guarantor in paid employment who has a pension account.
- Employment /confirmation letter & Employee ID
- This information is crucial as it is a key requirement for eligibility for a Fortcredit loan;
- It shows how long the customer has been in employment with an organisation, his/her actual net income, the company name and post/designation of the intending customer.
- Customers whose companies are signed up on the platform can enjoy lower interest rates.
- Nuban cheques /direct debit mandates
- Cheques and direct debit serve as a repayment channel for the obtained loan; customers are strongly advised to obtain the mandates from their accounts in other to make it easy and stress free to repay loans.
- Post dated cheques also serve as a Chanel for some customers
- The platform stores the information and uses it to determine the credit worthiness of the customer when making future lending decisions.
- Six months bank statement
- This serves as a proof of employment in terms of the documented payments received, this information also confirms how long the customer has being in employment and can ultimately increase credit worthiness.
- Utility bill (PHCN, Water bill, LAWMA bill) Not older than 3 months
- This document confirms the address in the application form.
Can I change the date of repayment after the loan has been disbursed?
Customers are strongly advised to maintain the terms upon which the loan was taken as well as the interest accrue over time. In the event of an unlikely adjustment, customers should communicate immediately with a staff of Fortcredit.
How do I apply for a Fortcredit Loan?
- Complete our online application in minutes and submit. We’ll review your information and communicate a decision to you within minutes.
- One of the staff will be in communication with you and inform you on the documents to present for review.
How do I repay my loan?
- It’s as easy as possible for you to repay your Fortcredit loan. On the due date, your payment will conveniently be deducted from the account linked to your monthly payment as directed on the direct debit mandate or via cheque.
Why was my loan application rejected?
There are a few reasons behind loan application rejections. The most common reason is that the applicant didn’t share all of the valid information or is not eligible for a Fortcredit loan.
How much can I borrow from Fortcredit and for how long?
- The tenor and volume of a loan obtainable from Fortcredit is determined by the Income range, as a customer cannot obtain a loan whose monthly repayment is more than one-third of the customer’s income.
- This is a measure put in place by CBN, and it aims at reducing financial burden of debts on income earners. You can decide how much you want and how long you want it for. Once you have accessed the burden of repayment
- The tenor and volume of Fortcredit loans are currently within 1-9 months and N50000 to N3, 000,000 respectively.
What happens if I can’t make a payment on my due date?
It is important to note that schedule repayment usually follow a direct debit from customer’s salary accounts and this helps to reduce the stress of payment from the customer and Fortcredit.
What happens if I cannot repay my loan?
- We want to keep you as a customer, so please make every attempt to pay Fortcredit in time so as to have a good credit score and enjoy lower rates on subsequent loans.
- Also, the database management system keeps a record of debtors and that could be a disadvantage to other promising offers from Fortcredit.
Why do you need my bank details e.g. BVN, account number etc?
Fortcredit understands that this is very sensitive information and would be treated as such, so we have secured our platform to protect all your data. We ask for bank details in order to verify and subsequently disburse the loans to an account of the customer’s choice.
Can I update my bank details?
If you have a loan with Fortcredit and wish to update or change certain details, please send a mail to info@myfortcredit.com and one of our representatives will respond quickly to assist you with your request.
